I've never built one of those...the one-piece flip-forward front end was a turn-off for me.

Another Revell kit I found to be a challenge (I was 8 at the time) was the '56 Chevy 2dr sedan 'Bad Dream' kit..had issues with fit, opening doors, opening trunk, etc.. I'm not a big fan of opening doors in general, though.

thanks for the correction

actually the situation is not that bad, as long as you think that you're actually buying a huge parts box with rims, wheels, seats and even an 289 engine. plus a not-so-bad-looking 66 mustang body

Yes! This little kit is truely wretched. Sometimes my eyes still water in memory of the first time I saw it. A breathtaking pinicle of horribility. But as you say it's a Triumph.

Yeah, I can agree with this one, too. Of all the kits in my stash, this is perhaps the only one I'm intimidated by. Revell's best attempt at making a Fujimi Enthu. It calls to me and taunts me- we will someday have an epic duel. But it will be started, and hopefully soon- maybe when I finish a Ferrari or three. I expect an Enthu Porsche is going to be high on my list, too.

i have this kit but it was repackaged by Tamiya, and also the instructions shows what modifications to do to rectify the mistakes that Revell did to make it fit better, but the BMW 325i, another Tamiya reboxed Revell kit, there is a noticible gap between the door and the cockpit on one side and none on the other side as there is no door windows to hide the gap

another one is the Fujima Toyota Crown Royal Saloon '95, the window fitment was awful, tried many times to fit it, but in the end, i had to cut the windscreen off and fit it separate from the rest of the windows, so while the windows is perfect, u can see about a mill or 2 gap inside if u look very carefully

Re: What's the WORST kit you have?

I have built the BMW 750il. Only real problem is wheel alignment. I did some test fitting with my BMW 850i. I think it has the same wheel alignment problem. Also, the rear bumper doesnt fit well and requires the lip to be sanded off. I've built both Tamiya and Revell BMW 325i. No major issues, except that I recommend that a builder attaches the headlight surround/top bumper piece before painting. Also, sand the backs of the headlight inserts. You'll get a much better fit of the bumper and light lenses. The other problem I faced with that kit was attaching the seats to their backs.

The real concern with Revell Premium kits is the quality of the moldings - lots of flash and sink marks.

Rather annoying about the Lotus Esprit. I think the rear ride height is okay, but the front is just awful. I've thought about relocating upward the pins that the front wheels attached to, but not sure if the wheels will then make contact with the suspension arms.

Hmm, an interesting offer. However, due to the delicacies of the current international geopolitical atmosphere, I would prefer not to risk the possibilities of this being misconstrued as an act of aggression against Poland, thereby leading to an international incident. Besides I value your friendship far too much to risk overcharging you in such a way. However, if you are interested, I'll save the flash for you when I remove it. There is enough of it that I'm sure you could make another TR3 out of it.

Did I mention that the kit is kinda bad?

Re: What's the WORST kit you have?

Well...
The 5 piece body in the Revell Porsche Speedster was fun!
Then there was that AMT '57 Chevy with the warped body, chassis and interior tub. I did finish that, though most of the kit went back in the box.
Anything with ESCI on the box!
Ever seen the 'orange crate' ...
I'm in Porsche 928 hell right now, playing with a Revell kit, a couple of Testors kits are nearby, though if I just wanted to finish a car the Fujimi kit would be my best choice.

That's very kind of you, but you really don't need to worry.

Poland in fact invented the shapless, lumpy, unidentifiable, green plastic object thingy - it's more commonly known internationally as the pierogi

Re: What's the WORST kit you have?

The worst kit for me was the Testors/Pocher 1/8 scale Testarossa.I knew I was in trouble when I read the instruction booklet and it mentioned "design economies" to hold down the price of the kit.Damned if they weren't correct!Mis-matched paint, poor parts fit, easily stripped screws trying to hold the suspension together, and a generally flimsy feel to the assembled carcass all contributed to a terrible model experience.

Ah, yes. I understand they have them in Latvia also, where they apparently call them pirag. They do bear a striking resemblance to a TR3, don't they?

Re: What's the WORST kit you have?

some of the worst kits... Mostly some of the vintage-re-issued AMT kits (such as "The Cat" Mercury Cougar, Dukes Of Hazzard Dodge Charger etc) But some kits I've had with major fit issues.. the 80's revell kits like the 55 (or 57?) Bel Air, with the flip open hood, and the soild front end... or the MN12 kits (Cougar and T-Bird) rear suspension fitment and alignment is near-retarded... but I love them... so I can over see and correct that problem..
