here it is 99.9% finished.

All that is needed is for the decals to dry properly, trim the decals around the wheel wells and then give it a bit of a rub down and gentle polish.

Heres one from the font. It is hard to see but I also added a thin wire areial (the first I have added to any of my race kits). It just makes it look much better in my opinion.

That's awesome, Mr Devil. I've managed to cock a couple things up on my whale so far, but nothing too irrevocable (I hope). I just hope I'll get to the point where my models will look like that.

I'm very happy with the way this one turned out and will take some outdoorsy type pictures on Friday (if the weather permits).

The only problem I have is that now I have to buy a display case to house my models in :alien2:

That's the consequence of building a lot of car kits

Your Nissany overhere looks very good indeed!! Well done, and yes an aerial does always add that extra finishing touch! Again well done and keep 'em coming!

A very beautiful car this Nissan R390.
And a great job you have done Taz.
Great masking and painting, decals are great and the interior, especially the engine, are really awesome.

to resurrect this post...

im working on the same car right now, i noticed that the initial pic of the rims you have painted the entire center hub the color of the wheel nut. but in latter pictures, only the nut is painted.

how'd ya get the paint out of there. its a tight spot and i couldnt paint just the nut, so i ended up with some paint on the hub (where its not supposed to be). would a toothpick be good for rubbing the paint off the chromed parts. i know it doenst stick to the chrome very well, so getting it off should be easy... right!?!?

also, did you brush paint the red areas on the intercoolers with x-7? or did you spray them with the red that you are supposed to use on the body (i think it is ts-3)?

Yeah just don't let the paint dry on the chrome too much or it will be harder to get off. Be gentle too otherwise you might chip the chrome.

It was only ever the nut that was painted. It just gets the refelection of the paint and that is why it looks like the whole center is painted

Looks sweet! Do you know if you can get the 97 year street version? I'm interested in making that....Can you convert it from the racing version?
