Sebas - I think there is a better chance that the first image is #011, but that is just my opinion.

No, I think mini magic had found those images long ago. Would love to hear more of the story from the photographer - I assume you contacted him?

Uhm, yes, the photograps were taken by Nick Gleis. I have contacted him, but in respect of the Royal Family he doesn't want to disclose any information about the cars and people. What he did wanted to share was that he was hired by several members of the family and also by the Amadeo Corp. to photograph things, including a number of cars. The photograps were editted with a special technique and printed out on life size posters / wall covering posters. I respect his professionality, but I'd love to hear some of his stories. He really had an awesome job there , I wish I was hired to photograph their treasure's |

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
i just got one question...how the hell do u guys tell the difference between them?
i mean u can line up all the silver f1's right in front of me and i wouldnt know one from the other without looking at production plate. at least vector only has 2 or 3 of each color...with different interiors(except for two of the black ones)

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
I always thought it was the ex-Wyclef car because of the polished wheels...

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
I'm also confused as to why the turn signals are switched (maybe just the image was mirrored) in the 1 and 3 of the studio pics and why the car appears to have had teh headlight glass removed in pic #1

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
Perhaps its not the same car in the 3 shots? Studio pic 1 seems to be a deep blue, pic 3 looks silver under a blue light. Also, studio pic 1 looks p'shopped to look more menacing, as the lenses are removed and what looks like angled down eyebrows, to look like a frown, above them.

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
I think it's all the same car, and should be #008 now that we've made the Brunei connection, but I believe the images have just been heavily altered from their original photo.
In fact the turn signals don't look reversed to me - the smaller white section that acts as a running light or parking light should be centered under the headlights. It appears to have been filtered to be less bright and the orange section is just not lit in the last photo. Shame he hasn't decided to spill the beans - we could probably learn a lot from him and other images he may possess. Sebas - send him the original drawing of the Black LMs from Maurizio Corbi and see if he recalls that car and it's twin. >8^) ER |

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
How did we come to the conclusion that the studio car is 008 again?

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
Well, of the four road cars that went to Brunei:
#002 = Dorchester Grey w/red stripe #005 = Jet Black #008 = Cobalt Blue #014 = Yellow So, it seems a logical conclusion to me. >8^) ER |

Re: Brunei Mclarens Revealed!!!!!!
I mean, how did we determine that it is a Brunei car?
