Low Fuel Warning Light/Ding
The low fuel warning light on my 97 Plymouth Voyager comes on and sounds a warning ding intermittently when the gas tank is full and then stops when the tank reaches less than 3/4 full. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out how to fix it?

Re: Low Fuel Warning Light/Ding
Chalzone, my 97 Voyager does the same thing. I believe it is the result of a faulty relay. In the manual, there is a list of relays, and the one I think this is involved with is one that is only accessible by a dealer. I plan on getting this fixed fairly soon, because it is very annoying.

My '97 Voyager does this too - same exact symptoms... Low fuel light and chime dings when the tank is between 3/4 and full. This happens more when turning right - fuel gauge also starts to drop for an instant when the chime dings and sometimes the gauge reads 0 when tank is full. Shutting down the engine and re-starting usually resets the gauge.
Since this seems to be a common problem CAN ANYONE HELP US??? Bruce Mac Innes Senior Instructor Skip Barber Racing School 800-229-9593 ext 270 Last edited by m_motorsports; 09-12-2004 at 09:33 PM. |

Re: Low Fuel Warning Light/Ding
First thing I would do is replace the sending unit.
