Bullitt 50 years after

It has been a long time I did not post any finished models so I am pretty happy to finally have one to share.

This one was completed recently as I was working with a contest deadline in March. The contest has been cancelled due to COVID-19 but the model is about done. I am just missing a few details that I will tackle before the next contest but for now I need to make more progress on the remainder of my work in progress pile.

I started with the Revell 68 Mustang GT 2 in 1 kit. It is a plastic version of a die-cast model and assembly went together really well with some screws in a few places. You have all the parts needed for the Bullitt version inside and I found that the stance was right which is a first for me on a Revell kit.

I had a lot of fun trying to replicate the dings, dents and rust holes. The front bumper is shiny and the rear one is all dull and rusted like on the original one. It is not a perfect replica but I am really happy with the result. Here are the pictures of the finished model:

Hope you like it!
