dash lights flashing after battery change
I have a 1997 Chrysler Town and Country that I changed the battery in. The air conditioning and rear windshield lights are flashing. I have been told by a local mechanic that there is a sequence of buttons that needs to be pushed to reset the lights. Does anyone know the sequence. Thanks.

I'm from Kansas City. My T&C is a 99. If you haven't done it try this. Turn the heater blower on Maximum. Turn both Temp slide controls to Full Hot. Don't think engine needs to be on, but not sure. Press two buttons simutaneously for a few seconds. That would be lower buttons far left & far right. May have to repeat process. Doesn't always take the first time. Still having problems, call my Keystone Dodge, Mission,KS a/c 913-831-4500 & ask for service. Very nice techs to work with. Good Luck |

Re: dash lights flashing after battery change
I keep reading people saying push the top and bottom buttons on the left. That is wrong. Start the vehicle, turn the fan on high and the vent selection switch to dash. Thats the one that blows at your chest and face. put the temp control on cold. hold bottom left and bottom right button in till the lights go solid. release while they are solid. the module will now program itself by cycling through all the vent settings. all the lights will go out in about 2 to 3 minutes except the top left one. it will flash slowly. push this button once and it should go out. you are now finished. I had to do it twice before it worked so don't be discouraged.
Good luck |

but i have tried this
I have tried every option of resetting that I have heard from all on this topic but it still doesn't change it. After a minute or two the bottom two lights on the right start to flash in cinc and the top two on the left alternate, Three flashes on the bottom then one on top etc. They will do this for 15 minutes and then as we all now know will stop flashing. On returning to the vehicle for the next drive I have the whole thing again. Is there a module to change or something? I took it to my local guy and he can't "read" it or whatever. I don't have the money or the want to take it to a certified repair place that is going to charge me $300 to hit a few buttons or replace a $5 part.
