1997 Sephia - Alternator belt/Power steering woes

I need to replace the alternator belt on our 1997 Sephia, which means I need to remove the outer belt first. I have figured out how to loosen the pivot bolt on the power steering pump and I have loosened a bolt at the front of, and just below, the power steering pump. Can anyone give me any idea what else I need to do? The thing will not budge as of yet.

If you could include in your reply the exact location of the bolt/nut/whatever that I need to deal with and what size it is, I would really appreciate it.

On a related note, I just replaced the belt two weeks ago (not sure how I managed to loosen things that time) but it broke two days ago. Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Re: 1997 Sephia - Alternator belt/Power steering woes

There should be a 3rd bolt on that power steering pump. It will be the bolt that allows it to swivel forward and down (I believe that is the motion). I know there is 3 bolts on the thing. Just don't know exactly where to look as I am new to Kias myself.

Hope that helps
