Steering Wheel Removal
Is it possible to remove a steering wheel and assembly without the use of a steering wheel puller?

Re: Steering Wheel Removal
Yes. just pull off the center horn button and remove the 17mm nut. Make sure to set the wheels straight or mark the wheel and spline for reassembly and pull on the wheel from side to side. This usually pulls the wheel off the spline for me. This is for 89-94 Metros.

Re: Steering Wheel Removal
Thanks for the help and the quick reply. Just wanted to know if it was possible as I don't see myself needing to repeatedly use the tool.

Re: Steering Wheel Removal
word of advise, don't remove the nut all the way, leave it on a few turns then walk the wheel toward you while pulling. sometimes it takes some effort to remove it and have seen people get black eyes from smacking themself in the face with the wheel when it comes loose. you will feel it pop when its loose and the you can remove the nut and slide it off

Re: Steering Wheel Removal
Thanks for the advice about leaving the nut on. If I hadn't I probably would have smacked myself in the face.
