05 colorado
I have a 05 chevy colorado 4 door. The power locks do not work and also the driver side window does not work. All of the other windows work. The fuses seem to be ok. Any ideas??

Re: 05 colorado
Not sure this is just a shot in the dark but could it be the control cluster for windows and locks on the drivers side. Mabe the contacts are dirty or something else with it. One of these other guys ma be a expert on that. Good luck fiserman

Re: 05 colorado
Fisherman may be right on. Key on, check the orange wire at the drivers side switch for power (12v), check the black wire for a good ground. The ground wire is in the same connector as the orange power wire. If power and ground are ok, the drivers switch assy needs replaced.
You are looking for the white connector. Orange is in position 1 and black is position 3. |

Re: 05 colorado
Just in case someone else looks at this... If the window controller on the left side is disconnected and then reconnected and fails to work, Unplug the mirror plug (forward), door lock (middle) and window power plugs (rear most) from the switch assy. Leave the key out and the door open until the dome light goes out. Reconnect the front plug, middle plug (identified by the bigger contacts in the plug) and then the rear plug IN THAT ORDER! Then test the door locks. If the door lock works, insert the key and try the windows. I am not sure why it works but we have several 2005 Colorado's and we had this problem and this seems to work.
Good luck! |
