LED Interior Lights (strips)
I have a handful of blue LED light that come in strips with a red and black wire from them.
I want to run them from my fuse box and I bought a fuse thingy to run the power (red) wire to....but I think I need some sort of port to run all the different strips of LED lights to (via each on of their red and black wires - I have about 6 strips). Walmart sells a 12 volt power port, but you have to plug it in to your cigarette lighter - that's bulky and tacky to me among other things (takes away that port for my radar, or phone charger, etc). It looks like this: I'm having a hard time finding info on how to do this. Help please? |

Re: LED Interior Lights (strips)
As mentioned above, this is a pretty simple project. Depending on the number of lights you're planning to use and the current draw, the difficulty gets moderately higher and may require a relay.
If you're looking to run the lights when the headlights are on, then wiring in to a fused circuit for the radio backlighting, etc. would be pretty simple. -Rod |
