where to get cheapest ignition coil?

Hello,

My mechanic told me that my ignition coil is bad. Now I need to find where I get a brand new ignition coil but would like to find the best deal. Can someone point me to the right direction please?

Thanks in advance.

Re: where to get cheapest ignition coil?

There are different levels to budget. So with that in mind, a real cheap alternative is to get a used one from a junkyard or pick-n-pull yard. Then there's Ebay or online sources. The next cheapest is probably a new one from online places such as Rockauto.com. The next place would be a parts store of the likes, Advance Auto, OReilly's, Napa, Autozone etc. The last place to buy, and most expensive usually, is the dealer. But on occasion, in some rare instances, I've noticed the dealer have some cheap parts. Not often though. Good luck.

Re: where to get cheapest ignition coil?

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used coil to save money. These coils are very reliable, very rarely fail and they are insanely easy to change if it does go bad. In fact, I wouldn't even consider buying a new one.

Re: where to get cheapest ignition coil?

Thanks guys! I following cat fuzz recommendation. I called few dismantlers and got a coil for $30. I just installed it tonight and it's looking good. No more miss fire. Thanks again!
