Re: HID on Denali fog light

The housing needs to be altered to accomodate a bulb other than the 880 that's in there now as they do not mfg an HID 880 bulb. http://www.suvlights.com can do it.

Re: HID on Denali fog light

The HID's use less wattage and generate less heat so it should work. In my opinion, put HID's on the 9005's instead of the fogs.

Re: HID on Denali fog light

I have HID on my low beam, but the color too blue and less brightness [8000k], looking for a replacement bulbs [4300k] but not much luck yet. that's why I want to up grade the fog light. I saw the OPTILUX by Hella :Projector type Fog Lights DEX Xenon (HID) conversion kits but too much $ 999.99

Re: HID on Denali fog light

For me, I like uniformity. All the exterior white lights are PIAA Xtreme Whites, even the mini lights. The courtesy light under the side view mirrors are Raybrigs as PIAA does not make a comparable light. I plan on purchasing an HID 4100k kit from xenondepot.com or xenonfactory.com and I'm pretty sure all will match. The difference between 4100k and 4300k won't be that noticeable.

Re: HID on Denali fog light

Sorry, I gone away for a few days. Yes, I will order HID bulbs from xenondepot.com for replacement light. Last week I did bougth the Hella Micro DE HID XENON Driving Kit D2s bulbs from ebay and planing to replace on my fog lamps [4100k], and I don't have to modify the houseing on original fog light. In case if I will sell my truck so I able to place the original fog light back. So did you order your HID yet?

Re: HID on Denali fog light

I know you have the round fog lights, so this is more for non-Denali Yukons with the rectangular fog lights.
Sylvania/Osram has a STREET LEGAL HID Auxiliary Low Beam Kit.
Space required for installation is 3" x 6 ½" x 5"deep.
Sylvania sells it online for $274.99, and I will get it in the fall.
They are like fog lights and can legally stay on with the low beams.

Personally I would not buy from xenondepot. They are WAY over priced. The only thing that I like from them is that they are Philips and they use these waterpoof cases BUT are STILL WAY over priced for my tastes. From what I last recall, by like $100 to $150 extra per kit.

Re: HID on Denali fog light

Xd is somewhat high but check back every now and then because they run specials throughout the year. Xf offers a three year warranty on top of the one year mfg. warranty.
