1996 Olds 88LS 3800 series II engine

My problem is the elbow pipe near/ attached to the water pump. It cracked and i need a new one. It leaks the water right out. dont know what its called and cant find it on any auto parts site. help would be great. Thanks

Are you talking about the plastic elbow that goes into the lower intake, and comes out into the tensioner assembly......

I think so. It goes in to the lower intake and it kind of looks like it goes into the water pump but i think its right above it. and i dont think its made from plastic. but i think thats it. Is this a factory part? Cuz it cracked and will not hold water AT ALL!

The only other thing I can think of is a threaded nipple, that goes into the lower intake, and then has a clamped rubber hose that goes down into the water pump area.....if that is what you are talking about, those nipples were originally composite material, and usually will snap off and leave the threads in the lower intake.....the replacement nipple is steel.....

As for Sammersin, I don't know what a JDM series II engine is.....all 3.8L series II engines just use regular 87 octane......the Super chargeded enigines, generally used a higher octane....

It is by the belt not below the air intake.near the water pump. the other side. when we put water in the radiator it goes right out in front of our eyes right buy the water pump.
