Where to find flipper glass replacement lock?
My flipper glass lock is frozen. Power locks wont open it. Opened up to the inside and that's the only way we can get it open. My question is, where can I find a replacement lock (other than the dealer), and what exactly do I look for? (What would the part be called?) Thanks a lot!

Re: Where to find flipper glass replacement lock?
JD--yep, it's the glass in the liftgate. The only way we could get it open was to basically take the thing apart to get to the inside and move the lock with your fingers...but you still cant open the glass in a normal fashion. Do you have any ideas to add to the pot?

Re: Where to find flipper glass replacement lock?
The lift glass circuit is protected by fuse #8 in the right kick panel.
could be a blown fuse - limit switch failure or adjustment (in the lift gate) - broken wire - release solenoid failure or adjustment - bad push button switch - connector come off of a terminal bad ground. If you have a volt meter I could help you more. pm me JD |
