'03 Jaguar has loud hum in passenger cabin
I just bought an '03 Jaguar S type and I am very happy with the car..... I took it to the dealer for an overall look at, and they told me that "the car is in very good shape for its age".
But, the one thing that I notice is that the sound from the engine seems very loud in the passenger's compartment while I'm driving. Granted the car has the sport package... and it sounds very much like a sports car, but the loudness quiets down when I turn the steering wheel to the right !?? Could this extra noise be wheel bearings? Note: Very loud when steering wheel turned left... quiet(er) when turned right ! Anybody have a similar experience? Thanks |

Maybe road/tire noise from a bad tire, the external air vent is also on that side.
Make sure your tires are mounted correctly, see AF http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1082210 Last edited by danielsatur; 09-14-2012 at 07:37 PM. |
