AC not as cold after comp replacement
A few weeks ago I had the comp, accum and orifice tube replaced on my 98. It was all done at the dealer and according to them it met factory specs upon completion. The temp leaving the vents is around 40-45F
Prior to this the temp at the vents was +- 32F I know this cause I leave a thermometer in the vent. I talked to guy in my office and he has had them same problem with cars that he has had comp work done on vehicles he's had in the past. Anyone know why this happens? The system still has the same freon in it 134a. |

Re: AC not as cold after comp replacement
I talked to another guy on another non auto forum and he said the unit will run that way if the system was not evac'd. Any truth?
BTW I hope I put this thread in the correct place. |
