Cool Maybe I could get some performance now!!

It looks to me that the Aerio has the same 2.0 engine as the Tracker/Vitara just the Aerio has 11hp more (NO FAIR) Well maybe if the aftermarket starts making Engine performance stuff for the Aerio I could finally have a faster tracker Pretty cool I hope they hurry.

Later, Mike

the Aerio has the same engine as the Vitara, same 2 liter 4 cyl,but if they produce bolt-ons like intake and headers,it won't fit the truck.
But internals should swap out pretty easily, you could also ask the dealer what is different between the 2 engines that makes one stronger than the other

Yeah I know about the stuff not fitting but I was thinking if they make headers for it I could buy one and cut and weld it in the right direction.
And maybe the intake could be redirected too.

I'll check the dealer out to see the diff. Thanks

it would almost be easier to make a custom one.and for ther trouble of making a custom one, you're better to build a custom turbo kit

I was thinking about a turbo instead of swaping the engine but how would I go about getting a custom turbo header and how do I know what size turbo to get? Also what about my engine problem stated in earlier post? I don't want to kill my engine it doesn't even have 30K miles on it yet.

pretty easy to make a custom turbo manifold, you go to a machine shop and you have a flange made(with the exhaust manifold gasket as a template),and you weld tubes from the flange right to the flange of the turbo.

As for turbo, one from an engine with about the same size would be good, say one froma a Talon/Eclipse would be good.

Running good. I had a Evap. can wire break and it made the check engine light come on but thats the only thing that really scared me. It does seem to ide rough when it's cold even if there is no fan or heater on. That and the shifter is notchy if I try to shift too fast.

I hope that if I switch to synthetic oil and trans fluid it will help with both.
