Question 98 kia vibration

Having problems pinpointing a vibration in my 98 sportage 2wd. It seems to be coming from the rearend. Have eliminated tire and u-joint is there anything else?

Re: 98 kia vibration

(u-joint have proven time and time gain to be the culprit though)... CHeck brake linings ; on mine, brake lining had separated from show and would do all kind of suspicious jolts until they finally blocked the brake completely from a stop. Brake fluid from leaky brake cylinder had dissolved the glue bonding the lining to the shoe.
