928 engine conversion
So, I'm planning to buy a 928, however I am not completely satisfied with the performance, modifiability or maintenance cost aspects of the engine. I have seen some examples of 928's having their porsche motors swapped out for chevy v8's. This idea is interesting to me, given the power potential, cost-effectiveness and relative ease of maintenance with such an engine. If anyone has ideas, knowledge, experience or suggestions on this subject, please give input. I would especially like to know if there are any other good conversion possibilities.

Re: 928 engine conversion
I just swaped a chevy 383 into a 1986 928 this past summer using the renegade hybrids kit. It was easier than I thought it would be. I got a little cocky thinking I could build my own headers but I highly recomend buying the headers. Everything is pretty much common sense with this swap.
Good luck! |
