'03 TB sway bar linkage

My dealer said all 4 sway bars were bad(the little dog bones at each wheel). Does anyone know what size hex head socket is used to remove these. I tried a 7/32in but that had alot of play in it. so im thinking its metric. From what I've read Moog is the way to go for replacements. Thanks for any help as always!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they're 6mm. Good luck, they can be a real bear to remove sometimes.

Cut em off, you will break that tool when they are frozen from " north country" issues.

Re: '03 TB sway bar linkage

The OEM fronts were 7mm for me. 6mm was loose and 8mm couldnt fit. But the backs are 6mm.

After replacing the end links, make sure you tighten the nuts down real good plus use blue thread locker. I even used a nylon lock nut to double nut it.

Re: '03 TB sway bar linkage

a little heat goes a long way..... just a touch of heat on the 18mm nut and a pair of vice grips will remove the nuts with little or no problem.
