Then it shut down I did A fuel presure test No presure had spark .So I RE & RE A fuel pump thinking that will solve my probleams . Well this time it Run for about 1/2 hour then the (tack )was going Nuts and again it shuts down . The car turns over and gets spark but does'nt want to stay running .But if it sits for an ahour or so it starts back up .I got Codes from the ECM ? EO12-EO52-EO53-IO39-IO52-NO ACP codes-RO33
Can anybody put some light on this matter ??? |

Re: Starts But dies Out
I'm having a similar problem on an 88 4.5L.
I've been told it could be the fuel pump. I wonder if it could be related to Ethanol Gas? It's a bear to replace the fuel pump. How can I remove the old gas? Have you solved your problem? |

Re: Starts But dies Out
I would get a gage on the fuel line and check pressure for starters, eliminates some guess work.

Re: Starts But dies Out
It seems like the codes point to the ignition module. You may want to get it tested. I039 points to suspension. Likely the sensors in one of the struts has failed. Do you get a message that Says "Service Ride Control?"
