trunk rust problems
I was wondering if anyone knew an easy solution to some rust problems. Its around the inner trunk lid. Where the trunk seal is glued. It is rusted through and I was wondering if I should just take the metal from another Nova and try to weld it in or rivet it in? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: trunk rust problems
First, how big is the rust problem? I would just take some simple bondo, if you ever worked with it. If it is rusted all the way through then I would definatly weld a piece on. Then seal it with bondo or some cocking. Im just trying to give tips here. Hope it helps.

Re: trunk rust problems
why don't you just buy a new trunk lid? and then replace the weather stripping in the trunk?

It depends on your budget. If you know someone who can do it cheaply, try and get it replaced with metal. If your on a budget bondo it up and go easy on the trunk closings. Rob
