1987 Toyota truck - Clutch Hydraulics are frozen!
It is -7 degrees (>-20 degrees with the wind) this morning in the frozen wasteland that is Indiana...
started the Yoda no probs. Went to take off and it will not go into any gear. The pedal is firm, it and the shifter move freely, the fluid is full and not leaking anywhere, and the whole system (clutch, slave and master cylinders) are all new. The slave cylinder doesn't seem to move at all. How can I free it up??

if the slave cyl is not moving its most likley your clutch master cyl is bad. you can try bleeding the slave cyl but you will probably need a new clutch master if fluid is full and clean

Damn I kinda thought so...this is the 2nd one from Autozone. I will be getting a refund and getting a new one elsewhere. I've not had one fail like this, without leaking and/or sticking the pedal to the floor, but I guess anything is possible with poor quality aftermarket parts.
Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgh. Thx 'Vette.

UPDATE: I purchased a new part, and went to install it. I cracked the bleeder on the slave cylinder, got a spurt of fluid, and then it worked perfectly fine. $25.00 in the red and I didn't have to freeze my butt off to repair it. Yay!
