It is possible to make the wrx 2wd. All you do is pull the AWD fuse from the fuse box behind the battery and your car is magically transformed. You would use this if you have to get your car towed. It's more of a safety feature than a modding feature.

hey everyone... just thought i would share a site i found its
http://www.xcceleration.com its completly dedicated to subaru... and has lots of great engines for sale... some are pretty expensive but i still like to dream.... |

ok, first....the AWD/FWD fuse is AUTO TRANNY ONLY. Just don't want any dumbass thinking their manual is now fwd and towing it. Although i don't think manuals have that fuse.
second, that xcceleration site is a bunch of bullshit! 23 grand for an engine? and they use a copper head gasket? WTF? 3500 for a set of steel rods and 'custom forged pistons'. 3500?!?! are they out of their mind. They are not going to sell one set of ANYTHING. I hate ppl like that. They're not really into subaru performance, just jumping on a bandwagon and waaaaaaay overcharging. whatever! |
