Transmission & drive shaft
i have a 1982 firebird and i had a 350 trani in it and i put a new 700r4 in it off of monster transmissions and i apparently didnt get the drive shaft cut to the right length didnt even get ten miles on it and the bell housing broke completely off i was just wonderin what the correct length the drive shaft should be. I got a new housing so im going to get everything swapped over bad luck i got i guess ha well let me know if anyone has answers thank

Correct length is 41 inches weld to weld. Thats very strange though cause 82-92 F-body driveshafts are interchangable and they used the 700r4 during the later years.

since the 350 tranny was replaced for a 700r4 this would require a different length drive shaft...
