No brake lights!
A couple days ago I bought a 1997 blazer. It was dark out when I bought it so I might not have noticed the brake lights then but i'm pretty sure they just went out. The high center light bar already was out when I bought it but today I noticed the other 2 were out. Now the bulbs and fuses are both fine and I tested the brake light switch which was also fine. Both of the bulb sockets are getting no power but are both getting ground so its not that either. My only guess is it could be the wiring but i have no idea where to look or what to look for any suggestions? thanks!
I forgot to add the turn signals, back up lights, and tail lights all work fine its only the brake lights that have stopped. |

Re: No brake lights!
Generally speaking the brake lights and 3rd brake lights are on different circuits. I'd recheck the brake light switch and mounting.

You have no brake light to turn signal switch or if brake light signal to turn signal switch it is not going threw it and out turn signal wires to rear. Brake light goes threw turn signal switch and splits out it to turn signals wires for brake lights to rear. Make sure brake light from brake light switch goes to turn signal switch and out of it to rear turn signal wires.
