Kicker Comp voice coil question
rather simple actually. is the Comp sub a single or dual voice coil?
edit: on Kicker's site it says they can either be 4 or 8 ohm. how do i know which it is? they are my sister's boyfriends subs and i'm goin up to CO this weekend to help him put them in. |

See if it has 2 positive and 2 negative terminals. If it does then yeah it is a dual voice coil.

you can figure out if its 4 or 8 ohm with a multimeter

(4th one poped due to accident.)I also have brand new (still wraped in plasitc) front/rear bumper covers. the grey ones. also a brand new chrome grille.let me know if you need something. it will be going to the junk yard in a few weeks so hurry |

Or you can get the exact model number. THey wont label the same sub with the same model number if ones 8 ohm and the other 4 ohm you can usually tell by the numbers in the number. Its most likely 4 ohm. That and i believe they come in either single or dvc. see if you can get the model number and google it. You can get the specs off of anything like that.

Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country.
