Corvette C5 or Viper GTS?

id say the C5 because it looks r a little better than the vipers and also it has a lot of HP and it kills in performence

Given the choice between hard tops, it would be the GTS. If it was the C5 vert against a RT/10 then I'd go with the C5

i know ur intitied to ur own opinon but i just have to say that a Z06 is nothing compared to a C5 the C5 beats it in looks HP top speed and performence

a GT-S will spank a C5. if its a Z06 on the other hand i would definitly pic the vette over the GT-S.

350 to 405 HP, 375 to 400 ft-lbs TQ. GM rated 1/4 mile is 13.4@109 for the C5, and 12.4 @ 116. the only differences in the Z06 and C5 are a 1/4" drop, wheels and brake vents/calipers, visually anyway. the coupe and FRC look different from the hardtop and convertible, but the C5 is not faster.

yup i thought he had the cars mixed up too but i just din't want to say anything. but i think the Z06 looks much better then a standard C5 even though the styling difference is sooo subtle such as the larger split spoke rims and the rear brake vents.

yea, i like it too, the FRC is my fav. vette anyway, but the drop helps the 4X4 look and the rims/calipers look badass IMO

C5

Seems like a no brainer to me....

Now if you threw in the Z06 with
405hp
400 ft/lbs
1/4 mile: mid 12s

That would make things interesting

You guys read way too many magazines... a good driver will always beat a more powerful car with a mediocre driver. Equally skilled driver, the Z06 cannot touch the GTS Coupe on track.

If you want more bells & whistles and a more forgiving car (for less skilled drivers), then the C5 and the Z06 will win. The Viper is a drivers car, and demands your undivided attention... it is not for the faint hearted.

on a purely handling & braking comparison the Z06 is plenty equal to the viper, and has better brakes as well, most likely due to being alot lighter but, it is what it is. however i agree, the vipers got more lowend power to it, well mor power period, but especially down low, to help it pull out of the corners, that is if the tires can keep traction.

Just putting down the facts a C5 vs. Viper is a dumb comparison

I dont know why you mentioned the good driver vs. skilled driver... that's obvious. We're talking about which car is better, so I don't know why you brought that up.

The viper needs a very skilled driver to get the full potential out of the car, I bet 90% of viper drivers cannot even come close to the full potential of their car.
