I have heard the "quad exhaust" posted by sizzilinS7 previously at the dealer. It is definitely much louder than stock. Not sure if I like the sound since it has a much deeper note and tends to resonate a bit at idle. Plus the stock exhaust looks better IMO. Stanford European in Palo Alto is selling it for $7000.

Another option the dealer suggested was to replace the secondary cats with test pipes. Cost is about $3000 (which is a lot for just straight pipes). The mechanic said the car will be much louder, will be emissions legal still, and will add about 40 horses.

By the way, my dad just took delivery of new Murci. Color is light blue (equivalent of the Ferrari California blue) and looks gorgeous. He ordered the car and paid MSRP for it. All we can say that the car is much faster than his other car, the Ferrari 360. The lambo corners flatter and harder too. Engine sounds great but exhaust may be a bit too soft. Can hardly hear the exhaust going through a tunnel. Much softer exhaust note than Ferrari 360. Some pics and and more driving impressions will be posted later.

Hi Menu,

The stock exhaust on the lambo is quiet on the outside compared to the modified one. It's hard to hear the stock exhaust of the lambo from the inside. Most of what you hear is the engine instead, which is great.

The 360 has the stock exhaust which is much louder than the lambo at full throttle.

The Murcielago would cost me £160k, but the ever cooler Pagini Zonda C12S costs £312k... I am torn.

I didn't know that about the luxury tax. If a car changes hands does the plates & registration fee have to be paid again?
