Come"on, they've been available for 2 years now!
Would like to see some ownercomments and maybe talk about the one I just bought.

I am thinking about buying a CX5 but never bought a Mazda before, only Toyota and Honda. Thoughts please?

Re: We need a CX-5 thread
Well, it's been 2 years / 40K miles and mine has been trouble-free.
Nice little SUV but my biggest complaint is a bit too much road noise.

Re: We need a CX-5 thread
I sent a message to the moderators about a separate CX5 section, but it's been almost a month and still nothing........

STILL NO CX-5 THREAD!!! What's up with that? 2016 CX-5 Touring 2.5 L. Where is the cabin air filter located? Is it easy to replace? Anyone?

Re: We need a CX-5 thread
Bringing this to the top.
Since my last post I've traded in my 2014 CX5 for a new (leftover) 2017 GT fully loaded with premium package. The dealer made me a great deal and I'm glad I jumped. The new car is MUCH more refined and quieter than the 14, which had 68000 miles when traded. It was a very reliable car. Only mechanical complaint I can give is the rear brakes needed replacing at 40k, which seems early considering how I drive.

Re: We need a CX-5 thread
Horrible company to deal with. I am regrettably the owner of a 2017 mazda cx 5. I used to believe in mazda but have come to realize that they will simply wash their hands of any issues faced by those who sadly purchased their product. This vehicle has left me stranded on more occasions then I care to remember. Sometimes in minus 30-40 degrees Celsius. The problem has been identified as a mysterious slow drain of the battery. This was after numerous complaints and time wasted at the local dealership. Finally their solution was to butcher the wheel well molding of my car and mount a trickle charger on the wheel well. Then, replace the block heater cord with a bright orange cord sticking out the front of my grill. Great fix !! Now unless I plug my car in 12 months of the year, it will leave me stranded. The upside is that it is UGLY to boot. Rally mazda in Prince Albert, Sk, Canada told me that they looked all over and couldn't find a black cord anywhere. The vehicle has been back since, and along with Rally mazda, mazda Canada was involved. They kept my vehicle for a week, agreed that there was a problem, however they were unable to fix it. Then, like I said they washed their hands of it. They designed it, They built it, They sold it to me for a lot of money, They left me stranded. Would appreciate any help in making these people acknowledge their responsibility as the car manufacturer. To have a conscious in a product they dupe the public into purchasing.
