101 code after changing intake gaskets

2001 fire bird with 3.8 non super charged. I changed the upper and lower intake gaskets. Once put back together cars coughs and runs rough at idle and sometime surges and climbs rpms. I keep getting the po101 code. I checked for vacuum leaks. Firing order, all connections and any and every other thing I could think of without tearing the intake back off.
I'm wondering if I missed a ground or something. No codes till after the gasket replacement. I'm at a loss on this one I checked egr and vacuum lines. Pulled the plug o. The maf while car was running and there was no change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I pull the intake and start over.

Did you remove the PCV valve in the upper plenum and forget to install the black and orange orings?
