Hey any corsica racers out there.....
Hey....... I just got a racing air filter. It is very nice and for anyone that is having problems getting up to speed or it is kicking in high speeds un-till a certain point i would HIGHLY RECCOMEND getting on. They are 25 dollars at pep boys and make s00000000 much of a differnce. Even if you are not a racer i would still reccomend it. It is VERY easy to install and if you want look under your hood right by the battery there is a black box "which is the air fliter" which comes out quick with 4 bolts to unscrew then just drive to auto store and you can have them install it or you can......... REPLY PLEASE

I just got a 1993 Corsica and am pleased with its stock performance, its obviously only a corsica but i like it. How much of a difference does the air filter make?

From the sounds of it redman just changed out the stock filter with a better brand. That is if I am reading his post right.
For even better performance look into getting a CAI (or cone filter) setup and open up the exhaust. Then after doing that, you can try to get a bigger throttle body. Now for the comment about "it's just a corsica".. hehe, yea this is true, but a beretta is just a beretta, have you seen what they can do? The corsica can do the same thing, IF not better. |

id also say a corsica can do better, since it is slightly lighter than the beretta

yeah, a 3.1 5spd corsica can beat alot of berettas, but no corsica will look as nice as a beretta.
if all you did was put a cone filter INSIDE your HOT engine bay, you probably gained no more than 1/2 a horsepower and got a nifty noisemaker. get some pipe and put that thing in your grill if you want to see any actual gains.. |

Re: Hey any corsica racers out there.....
i am a corsica racer. i have a 92' 3.1 with a K&N cold air intake, a computer chip, and I also opened up the exhaust and many other things. doing this has made one hell of a difference. i have beaten many cars and i am still doing things to my corsy!!!! they are WAAAAAY faster than berettas. at first i started to race my corsica just to goof off and beat the shit outta sum of the foreign cars (hondas, eclipses, ect) but when i found out what kind of potential these cars have i went further into it. if you know what you are doing these cars can be FAST! soon i will have pics on here and u can check them out to maybe get some ideas peace! THE corsifreek

wow!
i cant belive that any of you would want to race a corsica they are not ment for racing or sport use of any kind there is no point in putting in a "new air filter to help the accl" i just think it is funny how you guys are talking like these cars have somthing to prove just in case you forgot these cars are not only week but are slow off the line i laugh at any of you that think they stack up against any kind of import my suggestion to you is not to waste your money on a slow car save it and spend it on somthing whorth while
