Enkei trouble??!
I keep getting flats on all wheels!!! I have 18" enkei wun-guns on my 300zx. For the past 2 wks i've had 4 flats!!! it usually happens at lower speeds <45mph I hear a thump and all of a sudden an air decompression sound like psssssssssssssssssssssssssss then not only do I have a flat but I have to take wheel shop for balancing and air. The only way to put air on those low pros is with that compact jolt compressor that sounds like a bomb when used. Anywho, what could be the reasoning behind this...? any easy fix ideas? because mine is to get rid of these rims and going stock... as sad as that sounds, right now it feels like the only thing to do...

Re: Enkei trouble??!
the shop might not be properly seating the bead on the rim, or the tires may be too narrow or wide for the rims.

I'll vote for the tires too narrow for the wheels.
The fact that that have to do extra work to get the tires to take air is the tip off! Low pro's should never need help! |

Re: Enkei trouble??!
I just want to confirm with you guys that this is in fact the reason I 'm getting flats... i've driven the car about 3,500 miles before this started to happend... kept psi at about 40-45 always- tires suggest 40- I'm only asking again because those Z rated things cost a pretty penny, tx for your help

Re: Enkei trouble??!
Yep, having to use that pressure gun is usually a sign of having too small of a tire on a too wide of a rim. What's the size of the rims and the sizes of the tires???
