have about automatic z-28's and ss, being faster than the 6 speed
ones. You must have a freakish stock SS.

Frodies, your an idiot.

You guys should listen more to Formula LT1, seeing how he knows
more about your cars than you guys do.

Who claimed the 89 t/a had a twin trubo setup?
Who didn't know what year the WS6 option debuted?
Who didn't know when the 350TPI was available?
Who thought that six speed cars were ALWAYS faster than the A4's?

Who was wrong? Oh yeah. Him. If you doubt us, sign up on ls2.com and ask the drag racing forum which car will be faster in the 1/4, a M6 or an A4. Go ahead, I'll be waiting for your post sir.

You are COMPLETELY CLUELESS.

It's a common fact stock that the A4 are quicker ET in the 1/4 mile than the M6, M6 will post a higher trap speed but also higher ET. My car is not a freak. I'm a good driver though. The MPH is better than my ET due to the poor stock tires. Do some research and come back when you know what you are talking about. Even folks who hate automatic will readily admit the A4 is quicker. You just can't get a good launch on stock tires with the M6. And if you put a high stall on the A4 they will run almost a full 1/2 second faster yet. FACT. FACT, FACT.

2001 Camaro SS, A4, MTI lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, ported TB/MAF, Corsa cat-back, Sub-frame connectors, lower control arms/panhard bar, Yank ST3500 stall, ProStars/Hoosier QTP's. 3488lbs with 1/4 tank of gas and my 165lbs ass in it.

Best pass is a 7.68@91mph, 1.60 60ft 1/8 mile. That would equate to about a 12.0ish 1/4 mile time.

I've run a best 1/4 of 12.35@109 with a 7.82 1/8 mile. I bounced the limiter on the 2-3 shift and had to lift a bit so it would shift, due to slipping clutch plates in my auto.

Pretty damn slow for just a few bolt-ons huh?

1. Yes I was wrong they used one turbo someone told me they used 2. my bad
2.We where talking about 4th Gen SLP Ws6 and then you asked what year was the first I thought we where talking about 4th Gen.

3. I was off by a year so what.

4. Ask them over at your site if a 2.73 geared auto can take a 3.42 geared Six I would be interested to hear them say the Auto is faster you retard.

Yeah, he seems to know a whole lot more about these cars. (note the heavy sarcasm)

BTW, 6 speeds are faster down the 1320, autos are more consistent.

Please keep posting to this thread, I'm having such a good laugh reading it.

Most folks on stock tires are not going to see as good of ET's with a M6 versus a 3:23 A4. I'm a much better stick driver than auto, I'd really like to know what my SS would run if it had an M6, I think I could launch the shit out of it to 12.9, but really most folks are quicker ET wise with the A4 from what I've seen when stock and the M6 trap a bit higher.

As I said, autos are more consistent. In my 6 speed I've run a best of 11.40 @ 126 and a worst of 12.30 @ 126 (current combo). It's all in the launch, on the 11.40 I cut a 1.7 60' time and a 2.1 60' when I went 12.30. Big difference between street tires and drag radials.
