Injector "cap" screws

Starting my ka-t proj. and these caps are a bitch to take off . I took them off before on another 240 and they were pretty easy. You fellas got any tips to take them off? I'm asking first because I don't want to mess the screws up.
Thanks

ka24de for those who don't know

Re: Injector "cap" screws

i was basically on top of the engine when i unscrewed those things man!! Anyways, I put all my weight into the screw driver and slowly started to twist, luckily they came off. Try that out, and if you feel you're going to mess up the screw, get some wd-40, or any other loosening spray, soak the screw and wait for a couple of hours and do the same thing.

Re: Injector "cap" screws

Thanks, soaked them and will try again later.

I hear an impact screw driver works. I've seen them in action and it looks like it will destroy the screws LOL..

any more?

Thanks

Re: Injector "cap" screws

lol... yea i had to use vice grips on my sr's injector cap screws also

it also depends on the type of screw driver... the bigger the head seemed to work better
