castrol syntec 10W30 change every 2,000 miles to keep engine cleaner in hopes of it lasting longer. 28,000miles so far on my 2000. no problems yet. 2,000 mile oil change must work since raelet still has his car running at 503,000 miles so i will stick with this system. plus a guy i work with does the same thing and he has 2 cars with around 150,000 miles on them each and they are still running as well. plus 3,000 is just an estimate i think it depends on how much you drive and the conditions of the driving which should determine how often you get your oil changed.

Go with Mobile 1 Synthetic 10w30. Synthetic makes a HUGE difference (in my opinion) in gaining life out of your investment.

Re: Best Oil For A Corolla

Valvoline Durablend is a good oil, better then you have to treat a toyota engine to last. you could easily get 200k from a toyota engine on regular valvoline, durablend is just an added bonus for the engine. so i would say keep using what you're using, no point in paying $4-5/qt for oil, at about 3.5-3.9 qts of oil for you're car... waste of money. just stick with what you've been using

Mobil One 5w-30 with Wix oil filter every 7,000 miles. 132,000 miles and going strong. And I don't have to put Corolla on a stand to change oil or oil filter. Long arms help.
