Re: Rb25det Help
i did my rb swap using top hat motor mounts all together i spend roughly 5k.... thats engine, 2 e-fans, the intercooler piping and the labor to wire it up...it all depends on where your getting it done.. price varies... and if you can do the mechanical labor yourself you can save a grip
you wont need an r33 cross member if you use the right mounts also try mckinney motorsports. an sr swap may actually cost less but you will have to do more in the long run to get the rb's power this may be helpful http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=74575 |

Re: Rb25det Help
I say turbo the KA, you don't have a lot of money but want something turbo and fast.......
for 2500 you could build a pretty decent KAT that would make about 100whp more then a stock turbo RB you will be way faster.... in comparison, people are putting down 400whp now on stock KA internals... so 350whp would be no problem........ a RB20det puts out about 200whp....... get a 500 dollar Greddy intake manifold, FMIC, downpipe, exhaust, and on 12psi or so I believe.. this one guy was only making about 230whp on another site......... thats pretty LAME if you ask me for the amount of work and money put into it..... a KA-T would mop the floors with that for half the money |

Also - RB20 is a joke. People who can't afford SRs get those for 1200bux. No shit they don't make power - but its a skyline motor and impresses local ricers at BurgerKing. Oh yeah - kid - Save up your pennies, as it will either not get done or get half assed together. 90% of people who want RB don't end up getting it. Good luck beating the odds.
