Lets see, I can have a RWD convertible with no torque, and a tuned to the max 4 cylinder, or a RWD car w/T-Tops, gobs of torque, and tons of tuning possibilities... That sure is a tough call 300zx all the way I would take a 300zxTT over an NSX even, they are just that wonderful -Grendel |

I actually pondered the same question of 4th Gen. Prelude vs. 300ZX. I was, however, looking at the NA style. What it came down to for me was infact, more minor things like insurance cost. The result: I'm sitting in the seat of an '85 and all the happier for it! The thing about a Prelude (starting with the '92 models, I believe, but possibly dating back further) is that it falls under a sports coupe and a luxury car as far as insurance goes. It was going to be over 4 times the cost of the car I ended up with (or the '92 buick skylark I had before - yeah, I know...that's why I got rid of it!).
Anyway, I'm glad I went with a Z, and I'm fairly glad I went with an older one that's going to grant me the possibility of a good learning curve and something to look forward to in the future. I'd easily suggest the same for any teenage drivers looking for their first (or second) car. |
