I got my 99 3000gt sl up to 135 mph on just a flat straight country road and my 98 vr4 up to about 143 mph on the same road, i was runnin out of straightaway with the vr4 so i had to quit accelerating, another 30 seconds to a minute and that vr4 would still have been going probably around 155 mph or so.

Re: top speed
I've taken mine just on 150mph off road of course and its hairy i can tell you. it was still pulling tho, i'd hate to know what exactly it will do flat out, i would say in the 160's on the guage who knows maybe more. its hard to know how accurate the guages are at that sort of speed.

Re: top speed
I've been up to 155 before in my car, then I slowed down.

Re: top speed
Heh, I plan on getting a very acurate speed reading by puting my handheld GPS up on the dash and runing it up real fast and looking at the max speed I hit to within a tenth of a MPH, I would be intersting to see how far offf the stock speedo is.

Re: top speed
hey im new to 3g gt forum and i drive a 93 honda (poor college kid) but i know enough bout 3g gt to know that they sure as hell can go faster than 120....especially 93PearlVR-4 ...i hope you still had power to go at only 135...you have twin turbos!!! hell my car (accord) is ecu governed at 115....and i can do that in 4th gear....5th just gives me better gas mileage .....the speedometer says 160 or 180 i believe in the 3g gt....doesnt necessarily mean u can top it out depends on the car and if its governed....mine says 130 and i hit 115....and sure you can get a chip to override the governer and the rev limiter..... as for StealthModifier i would take ur car out on a country road and just let the fucker fly. im from the country and there are FEWER cops and find a nice long straight stretch and just open it up. i wonder what people think when they see my accord doin 110 down the hick country road passing mustangs and camaros just to piss them off lol

Re: top speed
Long country roads become very short when trying to get above 150. Just a little FYI for everyone, drag is exponential, and it takes about 2.5 or 3.5, I cant remember, times more power to go 150 than it does to go 100. But you also have to factor gearing into that.

Re: top speed
Ive gone 110 in broad daylight on a sort of busy highway. It wasn't a big deal and i could tell she wasn't about to let up anytime soon.
