There was a company called Hawkee's Hobbies that closed last year, they had at least 7 different metallic powder (yes, I bought before they close), and I tested the "brass" on the Mustang. As it was applied over black paint you can't see it very well, but over a aluminum or white it should over well, i guess.

Some kid. I would think an acrylic color of any type would dull the luster of KGS
Still do a test on a spoon and let us know John |

Another test....
Spoons were all painted this way: primer, tamiya X-1, automotive poliester clear coat, then chrome. We will notice the "orange peel" because they were not polished. Now I have to apply clear coat in all spoons and check the result.

Why was a clear coat applied between the X-1 and the chrome finish??

Very good information, Thank you! I have quickly read through the thread, many pages, but I did not notice if anyone had tried metalizer powder over a gloss white surface? If so, what results? I noticed some said gloss black was best, and bright silver for others. |

Re: Alclad II vs. Kosutte Gin San...bye, bye Alclad!
Has anyone had success in stripping KGS? I used it over a base of Gunze Super Black and do not like the results. Instead of chrome it came out more like shiny gunmetal. Maybe I will try another application of it to see if it shines up before attempting to strip it.
