oil leaking out the dip stick
i have a 1980 cj7 6cyl. there is oil leaking out of the dip stick. i have already replaced the pcv valve and checked for a stoped up pipe on the pcv valve but it is still leaking out the dip stick. anyone have a clue what it might be? i don't really know what to do. thanks in advance

no it is the right amount. it is like it is getting too much pressure in the oil pan and forcing all the oil out. it will keep comming out the dip stick untill the pan is empty.

Re: oil leaking out the dip stick
Pull your valve cover and make sure the passages aren't plugged on it. Can you feel vacuum on your pcv valve? If not, and the valve and hose are clear, you have a plugged intake manifold port. How about the vent hose that goes to the air cleaner, is it clear?

What you could be getting is blow-back. You might have a cracked piston.
