Anyone have experience with 20" wheels?

I want to upgrade from my factory 16" wheels. I know 17" were an option, so I figured 18" would still offer a good ride/handling combination.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with the 20" that are available. I have heard of them having an unsatisfactory ride on cars (not to mention destroying their performance with too much bling), but was wondering about their impact on an SUV. I would probably go with the 275/45r20's on a 20x8.5/9 rim.

I had two different sets of 20 inch wheels on my trailblazer and had no problems with either of them. The first set I had, I ran a 265/50/20 falken tire which I loved. On the 2nd set I went with a 255/50/20 nitto and those performed and road just as well but I liked the look of the 265/50/20's a lot better. There is no problem running the larger rims on the trailblazer in my opinion. The ride was still comfortable and even more so after I had it lowered (eibach springs). Hope this helps.

Re: Anyone have experience with 20" wheels?

I don't think it would hurt if you got 20"s. My friend has 20"s on his Envoy and hey said that the performance is quite the same but his only problem was ground feeling. He said that his car was alot smoother when he had his original 17"s on. When he got the 20"s set his car was a bit stiffer than before, but I guess it's not a big deal. His tyres are 265-45-R20 GOODYEAR.

I am willing to get MKW MK18 chrome 20"s with GOODYEAR tyres for my TrailBlazer as soon as I get some money.
