How does the horm ring come off?
I have a 68 Dodge Coronet. I have a problem now with the turn signal. Seems that gravity is working on the turn signal just enough to allow the brake light not to light up when the brakes are applied, but not enough to actually engage the left turn signal.
My questions: 1. What's the best way to remove the horn ring to get access to the trun signal switch? 2. Is there anything I need to know before starting this project? Thanks for the info, Frank |

Remove the horn button by turning it counter clockwise. This will expose the steering wheel bolt (3/4")
You will need to remove the whole steering wheel. I recommend getting a $5 steering wheel puller from your local auto parts store. Once inside you will likely find that the turn signal cam needs to be replaced. Try year one for that part. Most years and models are different so be careful trying to do a swap from just any other Mopar. I got one out of a Coronet and it did not work in my Charger correctly. Your brake lights and other stuff runs right through this cam so it needs to be the correct one. |
