Please, I need help determining a broken part.
Hi,
To keep this short, a part broke on my 2000 Cherokee sport. I believe it's part of the suspension and I want to shop around before I take it to a mechanic. I need to know what it is, though. It's one of 2 red bars under the front of my Jeep. They attach to the axle and the bottom of the Jeep. Pictures are attached to help. The are the view from behind the front tires. Please and thank you for your help, John |

The lower control arm bracket broke off the axle. It's normally welded to the axle. If the bracket is not too rusty or twisted (can't tell from your pics), you can get it rewelded back. Otherwise you can find brackets at most offroad vendors or even have it fabricated.
