Re: Performance?

On my truck there's a tag on the bottom of the hood, just open the hood and look up at the underneath. The tag says what gears are in the back, what transmission you have, etc.

Thanks i'll get it out. I am sure it is nothing special considering it is the plain jane 6 regular cab. But I will check cause I could use some low end torque.

Re: Performance?

When you added the Flowmaster, did you notice the reduction in low end power then? Sometimes lowered back pressure will take away from low end torque; I was re-reading the post and you did say it has plenty of power at high revs..... so a higher stall torque converter would help if that is the way things are.

Didnt relay notice a loss with the flowmaster installed. That was the reason for installing it was for better performace which seems to have but on top end.

I did notice a loss with the new tires they are 20's plus it being a v6.

Re: Performance?

Yep, bigger tires are harder to turn. I had a 4cyl Jeep Wrangler, put tires that were just a little too big and turned it into a real dog.

Re: Performance?

Re: Performance?

With the five gear it's bearable.
