scratches

i have a somewhat big, kinda swirl scratch on my drivers door, that i got when some idiot tried to push a luggage cart (from a hotel) between my and someone elses car. is there anyting u guys do to get them out, like buffing it with some like 3M stuff?

It depends how bad it is. Buffing might work. If you got more specifics, there is a detailing section of this forum, under 'cars in general' section, I think, and there are some very knowledgable people there.
