Starter turns for only a couple of seconds

I have a Dodge Caravan 1999 3.3l that is having problems to start.
The starter will turn for one or two seconds every time I turn the ignition, most of the times this is not enough for the engine to start.
After 5 to 10 tries, the engine starts.
Any ideas what component is causing the starter to turn only for a second or so? THANK YOU!

Re: Starter turns for only a couple of seconds

Weak battery or corroded/loose connections at battery or starter- Inspect/clean connections and have battery load tested. Try jump starting using jumper cables and another vehicle. If it cranks ok then this is a likely source of the problem.

Worn starter - Remove and have tested or just replace
