Tree sap

I could really use your suggestions.

I've got tree sap all over my Grand Prix.My driveway is covered by trees.I've used anything that says it will remove sap.The latest failure is a clay bar by Mothers.

Anybody have a sure-fire solution?

Thanks.

I was told to use finger nail polish remover. It worked well, but now there is a dull whitish residue left behind.

Any ideas as how to get rid of that?

Thanks.

Re: Tree sap

I hate to tell you this but i mean its commen sense, nail polish remover carries accetone, accetone is like paint thinner, thats why it takes away the color of the nail polish, and well what happened to the paint on your car is.........shall i keep going, you get the picture right? Try to find sumting else and touchup the parts you screwed up.

I found the fact that nail polish remover works,on another website. It didn't say anything about anything else the stuff does.It may be common sense, but I'm not one who is involved much with paint or paint thinner or remover. In fact, mechanically or automotive-wise or construction-wise,I'm not skilled at all.I wish I was,but I'm smart enough to know when my involvement will be no help at all.

Thanks anyway.

I've been told to use a rubbing compound then car wax.

Thanks again.
