1999 LS400 Wheel and Tires

I have a 1999 LS400 and I am thinking about going with a wheel and tire combo. I am just wondering if anyone has used the Zinik Wheels (http://www.zinikwheels.com/wheels.htm) before with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S?
I am looking at bumping up the stock 225/60-16
to a 235/50-18.
I am looking at the Z16 Duet wheels http://www.zinikwheels.com/Z16.htm

Would there be anything to worry about brakes, calipers, etc?
I would eventually like to get a slotted rotor and upgraded pads to get my LS400 to stop a bit better.

Anyone ever use the Zinik Wheels or have heard anything about them before?

I just stumbled axross this post and realiize it was written back in July. Don't know if you made that particular choice, but I also am shopping for 18" rims for my '98 LS400 and am zeroing in on this same brand. I am personally leaning towards the Z18 Minardi or Z15 Verona styles and will put them on 235/45-18 Falkens. (I have 17" Flakens on my '93 Acural Legend Coupe and they've done fine by me with minimum change in ride. Those rims are classy, much nicer than the chrome factory 16" "ovals" presently on the car. I did a ton of reading, got various opinions and several shops speak highly of the Zinix line.

I was also told there is not fit problem with the Zinix wheels whatsoever...

So, Jmack, I'm with ya and will hook my set up in January. Already have an excellent price from a local Performance Plus shop that inlcudes wheels, tires, mounting, balancing, chrome stems, caps, lugs and computer alignment check (approx. $1450.00 for the whole enchilada).

Re: 1999 LS400 Wheel and Tires

That is good news about the rims.
I will actually have to update my profile. I picked up a 2002 LS430 in northen IL (Arlington Lexus) and got a very fair trade on the 99 LS400. I am starting to look at a system that will plug in to the DVD Navigation so I can get a back up camera and a DVD player working with that screen. I do NOT want to do FM audio with the unit so that leaves the G-Net product out but I'm still checking around for other items.

Thanks!
