P106 Error

Hey All

I am trying to determine the P106 error message (MAP sensor, or 5V error). Can someone please point me to where the MAP sensor is located as well as what else I should be looking at? Something else that has been odd is when the ECS error comes on the check engine comes up as well. I just had my car in for the ECS, brake light recall with no change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
James

Re: P106 Error

okay so i went to autozone and realized something strange. The P106 and P10 errors come on at the same time. Also the service ESC error all happen at the same time. Any thoughts? Sorry i can fix computers but don't know anything when it comes to cars.

Re: P106 Error

I have a 2.4 Gas engine (LS). The p10 is actually a P0010

Re: P106 Error

For P0010, change both cam actuators, passenger side.

Re: P106 Error

No sure, I think $25 to $30 each. Front one, intake should cure it, most owners change both. Easy job, one bolt each.

Dorman sells them, Dorman part # 917-216 (exhaust) & 917-215 (intake)

I would go Delco, from a Delco dealer, not GM.

Re: P106 Error

Just to verify, the front one I need to replace is the intake correct?

Re: P106 Error

Yes, exhaust is rear, exhaust comes out the back. Intake front.
